Bangladesh Folk Art & Crafts Museum, Sonargaon

The Folk Art and Craft Museum, Lok Shilpa Jadughar, in Sonargaon, was founded by the Bangladeshi artist Joynul Abedin on March 12, 1975. This museum boasts a rich collection of distinctive items that cannot be found elsewhere. Some of these artifacts have been lost from our country, and only remnants of them remain. Inside the museum, there are two Exhibition Galleries, each featuring statues depicting the local life of Bangladeshi people, such as farming and women at work. Additionally, you will encounter miniature replicas of various boats from Bangladesh, which have disappeared in modern times due to the competition with mechanical vehicles. The elaborate baroque decoration and painted details on the building’s plaster are truly captivating.

Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center, Chittagong

The initiation of the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center marks the commencement of the country’s inaugural university campus-based business incubator, situated at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). In honor of Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this incubator aims to offer financial and logistical support, along with mentorships, to 250 entrepreneurs, freelancers, and prospective startups.

Kaptai Lake, Rangamati, Chittagong

The largest artificial lake in Bangladesh is Kaptai Lake, situated in the Kaptai Upazila within the Rangamati District of the Chittagong Division. This expansive lake was formed with the construction of the Kaptai Dam on the Karnaphuli River, as an integral component of the Karnaphuli Hydro-electric project.

Dream Holiday Park, Narsingdi

Tangua Haor, Sunamganj

Tanguar Haor, situated in the Dharmapasha and Tahirpur upazilas of Sunamganj District in Bangladesh, is a remarkable wetland ecosystem that has gained both national and international acclaim. Spanning an area of approximately 100 square kilometers, this unique site incorporates 46 villages within its boundaries. Specifically, 2,802.36 hectares of this area are designated as wetland, contributing to the ecological significance of Tanguar Haor. The wetland serves as a crucial habitat for diverse flora and fauna, making it a focal point for conservation efforts and a source of pride for the local community.
